He made frequent visits to France for medical treatment, and died in November in Aix-en-Provence.

Ranariddh was born on 2 January [ 1 ] in Phnom Penh to Sihanouk and his first wife, [ 2 ] Phat Kanhol, who was a ballet dancer attached to the royal court.
